Dr. Rahim Reed, UC Davis - Associate Executive Vice Chancellor for Campus Community Relations, has been an instrumental partner in the Sacramento Promise Zone. He had been the main UC Davis point of contact since before Sacramento even received its Promise Zone designation back in 2015. His support and partnership has helped to bring some amazing projects to the zone, including the Summer Engineering Experience for Kids (SEEK) program. He also represented UC Davis in the Sacramento Promise Zone Sustainable Communities Collaborative (SPZSCC), which has partnered to bring the Energy Pathways Project, SMUD Solar Trees, and the Energy Baron Program to the zone.
