The Sacramento Promise Zone Sustainable Communities Collaborative has partnered to provide job training, jobs, and access to energy! The collaborative partnered with the Baker Energy team to graduate 25 students from Energy Pathways Project, a solar energy training program. The program also creates access and a pipeline to clean energy job opportunities. Some of the graduates worked to install SMUD solar trees at the Simmons Center and the Greater Sacramento Urban League. Solar trees (pictured above) provide renewable energy, shade, usable power outlets for the community, art aesthetics, and opportunities for education.
