As the plan is being developed to find ways to strengthen the Sacramento corridor of Stockton Boulevard, talks to keep those already there in place are being held. A virtual meeting was held Wednesday to talk about anti-displacement strategies. Organizations that participated in the discussion included the Sacramento Native American Health Center, Habitat For Humanity, Rebuilding Together and others.
The City of Sacramento says it is looking to revitalize Stockton Boulevard with plans led by the community and is looking for input on how to stop the displacement of the people and businesses already in the area. The Stockton Boulevard Plan is looking at bringing housing and more economic growth to the corridor while still maintaining the culture in the area.
